When I say I hadn't recorded any vocals before The Solomon Project, it's technically a lie: I had done vocals once before, for the demo of Girls back in 2007. I was so uncomfortable with my voice that I barely ever listened to it. It's crass, rude, sarcastic, and 100% rock. I just couldn't leave it off the album.
