about

Girl's Got Altitude started off as a guitar riff that barely even made it into the finished track. It ended up being one of the catchiest things I've ever written. In between, there were a lot of edits and nights of sore ears on my parts.

lyrics

Twenty odd years I was stuck in a daze
Pulling on fixtures to get through this maze
Changed all my numbers and grew out my hair
I couldn't escape, I was already there

Well I lost my way; she said "that's okay"
The future don't matter outside of today
She said "don't look down, don't you make a sound"
Don't look down 'til we're back on the ground

Don't look down, don't you make a sound
Don't look down, baby, don't look down

This morning I woke and I couldn't see my face
I tore up my memories, did not leave a trace
I'm stuck with these numbers and losing my hair
There's just no escape when you're already there

She says "it's okay, don't we all lose our way?"
The future don't matter when it's time to play
She said "don't look down, don't you make a sound"
Don't look down 'til we're back on the ground

Don't look down, don't you make a sound
Don't look down, baby, don't look down

about

I never thought I would actually play guitar. Then, when I finally picked it up and became decent, I never thought I'd ... more record. As I got better at recording, I knew I would never sing. Now that I'm doing all those things, I don't know where I'm headed. Regardless, music is my outlet. I hope you enjoy it. less
