about

I wrote Discredited immediately after I finished my first album, The Solomon Project. It was such a shift in sound - cleaner, sharper, and stronger - that I immediately knew it was the beginning of a new album. Having said that, it took me a very long time to actually finish it.

lyrics

This desert is a waste of space
You've got me here locked in place
So tell me, what is it gonna be?
Is all this a game?
Are you playing with me?

She says he's gonna come for her
She holds her breath
Don't you know it's true
Some day she's gonna come for me
Some day he's gonna come for me

Everybody is a waste of space
You hold your breath
But you know it's true
Nobody's gonna come for me
He doesn't give a damn about you

She wants these words to be true

I want you here with me
But you call this therapy
You wanna spin my world around
This ain't the first time
I ain't gonna back down

He says he's gonna come for her
She holds her breath
'Til her face runs blue
Some day he's gonna make you see
Some day she's gonna set me free

She says he's gonna come for her
Nobody's gonna come for me

I want you here with me

I chop up my guitars and create arrangements I could never have played. I treat my voice like an instrument, pushing and pulling it in otherworldly directions. I polish each track until, sonically, it feels like it sparkles. ... more
